Project description:

Exterior Environment: The project locates the southeast side of Mercer Island waterfront with a great view of the water.  The site is sloped down to the water, narrow and deep. We designed two buildings one main towards the water for the owner and one closed to the road for guests, the two-buildings are connected with a covered walkway and a quiet courtyard with large existing trees to maintain. Layout the house and space to fully take advantage of the water views to the east and south. Also, to take advantage of the sloped lot, we created a max building area for the client. 

Internal Space:  It is a 2 story modern house with a walk out basement for the main house. The main floor has 2 story entry atrium with curved stairs and large pendant light to create a grand entry feeling with a sitting room next to it. When entering the house, you will pass by a dining room, enter the grand living room, and open kitchen with large sliding doors with a great view towards the water and a large deck.  Walk out basement has a media room on the back and two guest rooms and a multi-function room open to the view and a covered deck. The upper level has a must suite connect to an office both with great water view and two bedrooms and a master bathroom with tub enjoy the view toward water the side view. The front building has a three-car garage on the lower level with living-dining above, two bedrooms, and a study above.
